A SMATTERING OF REVIEWS

Nudie Dudie: This is a hilarious read from a terrifically funny author. A must read for boys and girls alike.

Trina Rix, Ottakar’s, Lowestoft.

The Snottle: My 10 year old son has all the Jiggy McCue books and absolutely loves them. As soon as this one was delivered he started reading it and finished it the following day. He constantly asks what different words and phrases mean, so obviously they are educational?! As soon as he finishes reading the series he starts them again. I can't recommend them highly enough to encourage youngsters to read. They certainly give the Playstation games a run for their money.

The Killer Underpants: I am a primary school teacher who is always on the lookout for books that not only inspire young minds but have the ability to induce convulsions of laughter. This is one such book. From the moment I introduced it in class (please do judge this book by its cover) to the last side-splitting words, Michael Lawrence digs into your funny bone and does not relinquish his grip until every tickle has been tickled. Children and adults will love this book.
Kevin McLaughlin of Derry, Northern Ireland

The Killer Underpants needs to be read by kids themselves because no adult will get the words out for laughing. Fantastic and real – and very funny.
Bernard Ashley, Guardian Education

My 9 year old daughter has all the Jiggy books and I read this one out of curiosity. The funniest book I've read for a long time. A real laugh out loud book. Highly recommended.

After Harry Potter ignited a spark for reading in my otherwise disinterested 8 year old, I was keen to keep the embers alight. The Toilet of Doom proved just the job. Using language and "in-jokes" that kids will howl at, it tells the story of a computer game known as "The Toilet Of Life" where you can exchange your life with someone else's. This only becomes apparent after our hero has swapped bodies with his best friend Angie. Yes, Angie of the female variety! My son laughed out loud at least once every page and for the first time in his life raced to his bedroom each evening to find out what new mishap had befallen his new found friend.

The Poltergoose and The Killer Underpants:
The fast-paced action and irreverent humour will endear this series to many an eight to twelve year old. Michael Lawrence has a very quirky talent, given full rein here.
‘Starred Choice’ Publishing News

Michael Lawrence writes in a style loved by kids of all ages - from my daughter to my mother, everyone found this book a laugh-a-minute. Jiggy McCue is your average kid until his mum buys him the y-fronts from hell. This is wickedly funny and I had to stop reading at times because I was giggling so hard - much to my daughter's annoyance! Buy it and see if you agree.
Amazon reviewer from Crawley, Sussex

Michael Lawrence is a genius. He seems able to throw in rib-ticklers on every page and keeps the laughs going right to the end.
Amazon reviewer from Leeds West Yorkshire

The Poltergoose is a mix of sitcom farce and hardboiled American detective novel. The book’s climax – the reburial of a goose with a restless spirit – features a hilarious sequence in a ladies' toilet.
